It’s that time of year to share more about in-person events for 2025, and I’m excited to share that I’ll be back at Handmade in Ayr. This fantastic local craft fair is always a highlight for me, giving me the chance to share my jewellery in person, meet new and returning customers, and be part of the community of Ayrshire and Scotland-based makers. If you love unique, high-quality handmade pieces, this is the perfect event to visit to shop to support local artists and makers.

What is Handmade in Ayr?
Founded and organised by Ayrshire-based glass artist Leona Stewart Glass, The craft market brings together a fantastic lineup of independent artisans and creative makers. Each market features between 30-40 local artists, designers, and craftspeople, offering a diverse selection of handmade goods.
In 2025, there will be 14 market events, including special seasonal editions like the Summer Solstice Evening Event and the Christmas Shopping Evening at the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum. The ART Market will also return, taking place at Alloway Village Hall on May 3rd and December 20th.
Expect to see a variety of handcrafted work, including original paintings, prints, glasswork, textiles, jewellery, woodcraft and more - all made by talented Scottish artisans. If you’re passionate about shopping small and supporting local, this is the perfect place to discover something special.

What's On at the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum in 2025?
The events are held at the award-winning Robert Burns Birthplace Museum in Alloway, providing a beautiful setting to browse and connect with local makers and artists. While attending the fair, you can also explore the museum's extensive collection of Burns artefacts, visit the historic Burns Cottage where the poet was born, and enjoy a meal or snack at the on-site café. If you're bringing the family, there's also a fantastic play park, and walking paths, making it an ideal spot for a fun and relaxed day out with kids. Whether you're here to shop, explore, or simply soak in the atmosphere, the museum offers plenty to enjoy beyond the market itself.
