Three trapezoidal wedges of recycled sterling silver are hand forged in Bianca's 'Rough Hammer Texture' and layered to create these angular, geometric studs. The static, yet seemingly cascading stud flows into the suspended square wire linear drop. The drop is finished in Bianca's 'Tiny Hammer Texture' and hand burnished on all edges.
These earrings marry clean bold lines and angles with a natural flow. The hand-built repeated element offers slight asymmetry, and the burnished detail illumines the room. These earrings will be noticed.
The recycled sterling silver layered stud element is hand-fabricated from 0.8mm hand-saw-pierced sheet metal and measures approximately 8mm in width and 15mm in height. The attached linear drop is created from 1mm square recycled sterling silver wire and measures approximately 30mm in length. In total, these earrings are approximately 50mm in length with a depth of 3mm at the deepest point. The earpost is approximately 11mm. Sterling Silver scroll backs are also included.
