These unusual geometric statement earrings feature a unique door like design. Handmade from recycled sterling silver square wire, and finished with Bianca's 'Tiny Hammer Texture', the negative space vies for dominance between the delicate textured lines.
The long stud drops down below the bottom of the lobe from which is suspended a slice of silver. Bianca's 'Burr Cut' texture features on the slice element of these earrings, which is achieved by individually carving each tiny circular indentation out of the silver. The flash of highly polished silver at the bottom of the slice catches light. These earrings will not go unoticed.
Various textures and finishes are juxtaposed to realise this unusual and unique design.
These earrings measure approximately 10mm across at the widest part (6mm across the slice) and are approximately 80mm in total length. The length of the door stud alone is approximately 20mm. The door section is constructed using 1mm recycled sterling silver square wire, and the slice element is hand saw-pierced using 0.8mm recycled sterling silver sheet. Sterling Silver scroll backs are also included.
